A network of organisations driving change across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly

Cornwall Lived Experience Partnership (CLEP) is built on the strength of its members. Lived Experience and Journeying Organisations working across different sectors to support communities facing barriers. Each organisation brings unique expertise, services, and lived experience to create meaningful change and ensure that those most affected by systemic challenges have a voice in shaping solutions.

Active Plus

Active Plus is a Community Interest Company that uses the skills, experience and expertise of injured and retired military veterans to deliver unique programmes that build confidence, improve motivation, generate a sense of belonging and self-worth; helping people to unlock and fulfil their potential. 

CareFree Cornwall

Carefree works with young people aged 11 – 25 who are in and leaving care Our aim is to help care experienced young people have a good life. We will do this through positive relationships, through support with transitions and through enabling young people to have a voice. 

Autistic Community of Cornwall

The Autistic Community of Cornwall has been established by Autistic people for Autistic adults in Cornwall. They welcome diagnosed and self-identifying adults. They are a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) and not for profit organisation. In 2023 they were granted National Lottery funding to support our activities. Their members are also involved in delivering training, advocacy and consultation with various services and decision makers.

Black Voices Cornwall

Black Voices Cornwall is an Anti-Racism Charity striving for racial justice and committed to enabling Cornwall to become an actively anti-racist region. They are passionate about empowering the global majority communities to succeed and thrive. Black Voices Cornwall is motivated to ensuring Cornwall is a safe and welcoming space for people of colour, where they can be their authentic selves and celebrate their culture, identity and heritages without judgement.

CareFree Cornwall

Churches Together in Cornwall

Churches Together in Cornwall brings together Christians from across traditions, backgrounds and denominations. Together we seek to:

  • Serve the people of Cornwall through positive social action and work for climate justice, caring equally for our common home and those who experience disadvantage.
  • Share our gifts and differences in love, praying and worshipping together to grow positive relationships where unity can increase.
  • Celebrate the heritage of Cornwall which we share in our holy places, our welcome to one and all, and renewed tradition of pilgrimage.

CLEAR

CLEAR is a Cornwall based charity with a vision for a community safe and free from abuse, with opportunity to flourish after trauma.

They are dedicated to the highest levels of care and support for people of all ages and all genders impacted by abuse and other emotional trauma. Their mission is to help children, young people and adults to heal from harm caused by abuse and emotional trauma and to prevent abuse from occurring.

Cornwall Faith Forum

The Cornwall Faith Forum (CFF) is a charitable organisation dedicated to fostering understanding and dialogue among diverse faith communities in Cornwall. Established in 2008, CFF brings together representatives from various religious traditions to promote mutual respect and collaboration.

One of its key initiatives is the development of Dor Kemmyn—Cornish for ‘Common Ground’—an interfaith centre envisioned as a shared sacred space for worship, learning, and community activities. Planning permission has been secured for the Dor Kemmyn building at a site in Penmount, near Truro, and fundraising efforts are ongoing to bring this vision to life.

Through educational programmes, interfaith events, and community outreach, the Cornwall Faith Forum strives to build trust and unity among Cornwall’s diverse faith groups, contributing to a more harmonious society.

Cornwall Independent Poverty Forum

The Cornwall Independent Poverty Forum (CIPF) is a charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged individuals in Cornwall. It works to empower those affected by poverty, helping them regain control of their lives and combat social exclusion. Through initiatives like the Backpack Beds Project and the Cornish Christmas Giving Catalogue, CIPF provides practical support and raises awareness of poverty-related issues. It collaborates with various organisations to promote social justice and work towards a fairer future for all.

Cornwall Pride

Cornwall Pride is a registered charity dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion, and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community across Cornwall. It organises eleven annual Pride events, each free to attend, featuring live entertainment and quiet spaces to ensure accessibility for all. Beyond celebrations, Cornwall Pride offers support services, including mental well-being workshops through initiatives like Penguin Soup, and collaborates with partners to provide resources for those in need.

Cornwall Refugee Resource Network

As a capacity-building organisation, we work with newly arrived communities and individuals with experience of migration and the UK asylum system to identify challenges and barriers to equitable opportunities, experiences and outcomes in Cornwall. Starting out as a small group of volunteers supporting the Syrian Resettlement Scheme in 2015/16, we are currently reviewing our practices and ways of working to affirm that lived experience guides our next steps and practices as an organisation.

disAbility Cornwall & Isles of Scilly

disAbility Cornwall & Isles of Scilly is a user-led social enterprise dedicated to advocating for and supporting people with a long-term health condition or disability, along with families and carers. Our mission is to deliver through our RISE approach to foster a fully inclusive and equitable society:

  • Represent: Advocating for the lived experiences of disabled people to combat discriminatory attitudes.
  • Include: Facilitating a positive, inclusive community through various initiatives and service
  • Support: Providing accessible advice and practical assistance to promote economic and social well-being.
  • Empower: Building confidence and resilience through rights-based support and resources.

Farm Cornwall

Farm Cornwall is a charity offering practical, realistic, and confidential advice to farmers in Cornwall. They assist with farm business management, financial planning, debt advice, grant funding, training, education, job opportunities, diversification, and welfare benefits. Located in Penzance, their mission is to support the agricultural community through a range of services tailored to individual needs.

Konnect Communities

Konnect Communities is a Cornwall-based social enterprise that provides personalised advocacy, coaching, and mentoring services. They assist a diverse range of individuals, including young people aged 14 and above, victims and offenders of crime, and those facing challenges in education. Their mission is to engage, enable, motivate, and inspire individuals seeking to improve their skills and opportunities. Services include one-to-one mentoring, criminal justice support, workshops, and volunteering and peer mentoring opportunities.

The Women’s Centre Cornwall

The Women’s Centre Cornwall is a charity supporting women and girls affected by sexual and domestic abuse across South-West England. Established in 1996, they offer services such as one-to-one support, helplines, peer groups, and specialised programs for young women and those with learning disabilities. Their mission is to empower women and girls to overcome violence and oppression, fostering a world where they can realise their full potential.

TravellerSpace

TravellerSpace is a registered charity supporting Gypsies, Irish Travellers, and New Travellers in Cornwall and the South-West. They assist these communities in accessing services and opportunities available to the wider population and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes. Their initiatives include early years support, educational assistance, and women’s groups, all aimed at promoting inclusion and improving quality of life.

WILD Young Parents Project

WILD Young Parents Project is a registered charity based in Cornwall, dedicated to supporting young parents and their children. They aim to provide a fair start for young families by offering various services and resources.
